Thanksgiving Vacation

Princess Leia NEW with slideshow

For Rose's first Halloween, Momma decided that Rose would be Princess Leia with Daddy coming along as Luke Skywalker. Mommy's own costume is still undecided.

We had to cancel our big Halloween party because Rose got sick the night before -- since Momma had already made popcorn pumpkins and Rose's costume, we decided to do a little reverse trick-or-treating to our would have been party guests.

Our friend, Kate Sookoo, snapped this picture of Rose while we were out. The costume isn't entirely done and Jay still needs to get costumed up -- so look for updates in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile, we had these cute pictures and thought we'd send them along.

New High Chair

It was time to start the solid foods again and this time we thought we'd make it official so we splurged and bought a new high chair. As you can see, Rose loves her new digs, even if her chair is a bit big for her tiny-ness.

Solid Foods Take 2

So -- a month has passed and we decided to try again on the solid foods. Rose is still enthusiastic and her body seems much happier this time. Thank goodness.

Her latest method of communication is panting like a dog whenever she gets excited -- which you can see here as she enthusiastically consumes her pureed peas.

ING contest

Last week we decided to enter a contest for a 10,000 dollar deposit to our ING account. Anything could happen, right? Our original photo included mom and dad . . . but Rose is photogenic enough for us all (while Jay and Tierza definitely are not) and so she is front and center in our finally creation (thanks to a little photo-shop-ing).

First Meal

We tried starting Rosie on solids just after her 4 month checkup. She loved it, but it didn't love her. After several sleepless nights (gas) we gave up the battle and decided to give her a bit more time to develop her digestive system. Too bad, because she is a natural! "Feed me, mama, FEED ME!!!!
